AGI - Agility
AM3 - Archery Mastery 3, the third Ranger AA that allows for greatly increased archery damage.
ATK - Attack Power
Aego - Aegolism, a HP and AC buff.
Agro - the act of getting an NPC's attention through fighting, healing, or casting. A player has agro if he is at the top of an NPCs hate list.
Agro Kiting - A kiting method involving the use of high agro spells in order to make an NPC to chase one character while others are attackign it.

AoE - Area of Effect. Any spell or attack that affects a certain radius rather than a single target.
Armor Dye - A Vial of Prismatic Dye, the tradeskill-created component used by players to tint armor.
Artifcat - An item only one of which exists per game server.
BAR - Barbarian
BL - Beastlord
BRD - Bard
BST - Beastlord
Blubie - A player who plays on a Blue or PVE server. This term is used almost exclusively by players who play on a 'Red' PVP server.
Blue - A player versus environment server. Players who play on a PVE server have names above their head in blue text.
BoA - Blessing of Aegolism, a group form of Aegolism.
BoF - Blessing of Faith, a buff that increases spell-casting haste.
Boss - the 'cheif' NPC in a certain area, usually significantly more powerful than all other NPCs in the same area.
Buff - A spell that raises a character's stats. It provides a larger 'buffer' for attacks.
C1 - Clarity, a Mana regeneration buff.
C2 - Clarity 2, a Mana regeneration buff.
C3 - Kodiac's Endless Intellect, a Wisdom, Intelligence, and Mana regeneration buff. Usually referred to as KEI.
C4 - Tranquility, a Wisdom, Intelligence, and Mana regeneration buff.
C5 - Voice of Quellious, a Wisdom, Intelligence, and Mana regeneration buff. Usually referred to as VoQ
CC - Crowd Control
CH - Complete Heal or, less frequently, Celestial Healing
CHA - Charisma
CLR - Cleric
CP - Copper piece: 1/1000 of a Platinum piece.
CR - Caster's Realm (www.crgaming.com)
CR - Cold resistance, resistance to magical ice spells. Used interchangably with SvC.
CR - Corpse Recovery or Corpse Run
Camo - Camoflauge or Superior Camoflauge, both invisibility spells.
Canni - Cannibalize. Any of the 'Cannibalize' series of spells that allows players to trade Hitpoints for Mana.
Carebear - A players who plays on a Blue or PVE server.
Caster - Any player or NPC who uses magic.
Chain - Chain mail armor
Chain Cast - To cast the same spell repeatedly. Depending on situation, this can be either wasteful of mana, dangerous in terms of gaining an enemy's attention, or necessary because of special conditions.
Chain Class - A class restricted to chain armor, usually Rogues, Rangers and Shamans.
Chanter - Enchanter
Charm Kiting - A kiting method involving the use of charm spells to cause one NPC to attack another.
Cheal - Complete Heal or, less frequently, Celestial Healing
Chloro - Chloroplast, a Regen buff.
Cloth Class - A class restricted to cloth armor and robes, usually Necromancers, Magicians, Enchanters, and Wizards
Crack - Clarity. Any of the enchanter 'Clarity' series buffs that increase mana regeneration.
Crit - Critical Strike. An uncommon, exceptional attack.
DEF - Dark Elf
DEX - Dexterity
DMF - Dead Man Floating, a Necromancer-only buff that grants infravision, enduring breath, levitation, and a hightened resistance to poison.
DOT - Damage over time spell.
DPS - Damage per second
DR - Disease resistance, resistance to magical disease spells. Used interchangably with SvD.
DRU - Druid
DS - Damage sheild. Any spell which causes damage to an attacking enemy when he strikes a player.
DWF - Dwarf
Debuff - A spell that lowers a character's stats.
Ding - Announcement of gaining a level. It refers to the loud gong sound players hear when they gain a new level. "Ding 46!"
Donation - A small, usually optional payment given in exchange for services. Most people who hawk buffs or other services request a donation.
Dot - Peridot, a common reagent required for some high-level spells.
Dr00d - Druid (usually derogatory)
Drood - Druid
Drop - Treasure, money or items carried by NPCs. Players can take these items when those NPCs are killed. "The hill giant dropped 37 pp and a fine steel broadsword."
Dye - A Vial of Prismatic Dye, the tradeskill-created component used by players to tint armor.
EB - Enduring Breath, the ability to breathe in places with no air such as under water or in a vacuum.
EE - Essence Emerald, a very expensive reagent required for some high-level necromancer spells.

Ebay - An online auction service. Ebay often refers to in-game items or money purchased via real-world auction services.
Ebayer - Someone who purchases or sells in-game items, money, or even characters via real-world auction services.
Ebolt - Evenomed Bolt, a high agro direct damage spell.
Evac - Evacuate. Evac is often used to refer to any GG spell cast during a hazardous situation.
FD - Feign Death
FR - Fire resistance, resistance to magical fire spells. Used interchangably with SvF.
FRG - Froglok (Guktan)
FT - Flowing Thought, an effect that increases a character's mana regeneration.
Farm - Attacking easily killed NPCs repeatedly for one or more certain items. It's not unusual to hear players speaking of farming tradeskill supplies or platinum.
Fear Kiting - A kiting method involving the use of fear spells to make an NPC run away while it is being attacked.
Flappy - A Wizard's familiar, a non-combat pet.
Fot7 - Focus of the Seventh, a Hitpoint, Strength, and Dexterity buff.
GG - Group gate, any spell that teleports an entire group of players to a new location.
GNM - Gnome
GP - Gold piece: 1/10 of a Platinum piece.
Gank - To kill a player, usually unexpectedly.
Geerlok's - Geerlok's are tradeskill-crafted items wielded by players that allow them a better chance to create new tradeskill items. One Geerlok item exists for each tradeskill.
GoD - Gates of Discord, the seventh EQ expansion.
Grats - Congratulations.
Group - Up to six players who have banded together using the 'invite' and 'follow' commands.
HEF - Half Elf
HIE - High Elf
HLF - Halfling
HP - Hitpoints
HT - Harmtouch, the ability of Shadowknights to attack NPCs once a day with a powerful magical blast.
HUM - Human
Harmo - Harmony or Harmony of Nature, both outdoor-only lull spells.
Hate List - the amount of hate that an NPC has for players around it. The amount of hate is determined by many factors, such as player position, damage, hitpoints, and other statistics.
HoS - Harnessing of Spirit, a Hitpoint, Strength, and Dexterity buff.
HoV - Hand of Virtue, a HP and AC buff. Hand of Virtue is the group form of Virtue.
Hybrid Class - A class with both melee and magical ability. Either a Bard, Beastlord, Paladin, Shadowknight, or Ranger.

INT - Intelligence
Intelligence Caster - A class which relies on Intelligence as its primary statistic for casting spells. Necromancers, Magicians, Enchanters, Wizards, Shadowknights, and Bards.
ItU - Invisibility to Undead. Used interchangably with IvU.
IvU - Invisibility versus Undead. Used interchangeably with ItU
KEI - Kodiac's Endless Intellect, a Wisdom, Intelligence, and Mana regeneration buff. Sometimes referred to as C3.
Kiting - Attacking an NPC while it cannot attack you because it is too far away. The NPC behaves as if it were on a kite string.
Kitten Room - A secret room in many dungeons that is for GM use only. Players can only enter it by mistake or when summoned there by a GM.
Kitty Crack - Spiritual Light or Spiritual Dominion, Regen and Mana regeneration buffs.
Knockback - Any spell that causes the target to be pushed away from the caster.
LFG - Looking for group.
LDoN - Lost Dungeons of Norrath, the sixth EQ expansion.
LNS - Loot and Scoot. A term used on PVP servers to indicate that a character wants to loot his corpse and then leave a contested area.
LOL - Laughing out loud.
Leather Class - A class restricted to leather armor, usually Druids, Monks, and Beastlords
Lev - Levitation
Lewt - Slang for Treasure, money, or items carried by NPCs. Often used in the context of "Phat Lewt".
LoH - Lay on Hands, the ability of Paladins to completely heal themselves or other players once a day.
LoY - Legacy of Ykesha, the fifth EQ expansion, often referred to as an 'extension'.
Loot - To pick up treasure, money, or items from a corpse.
Loot - Treasure, money, or items, usually carried by NPCs. Players can take these items when those NPCs are killed.
Lore - An item that is theoretically part of Everquest's in-game story. Only one of each lore item can be owned by a single player at the same time.

MAG - Magician
MGB - Mass Group Buff, an AA ability that allows a player to cast group buff spells as area affect buff spells.
MMOG - Massively Multiplayer Online Game

MNK - Monk
MR - Magic Resistance, resistance to magical spells. Used interchangably with SvM.
Mage - Magician
Magelo - An online item and spell collector (http://www.magelo.com/)
Magic - An item is a magical item rather than non-magical. This is important only when fighting NPCs that cannot be hurt by non-magical weapons, such as Ghouls and Willowisps.
Mana - Mana points
Med - Meditate. When players with magical abilities sit, they meditate in order to regain mana faster.
Memblur - Memory Blur. Memblur is used to refer to almsot any spell that causes an NPC to forget part or all of its Hate List.
Mez - Mesmerize. Mez is referred to almost any spell that puts an enemy to sleep for a certain amount of time.
Mini - A Mini-boss, one of several cheif NPCs in a certain area, usually significantly more powerful than most other NPCs in the same area.
Mob - An in-game character or monster, a Mobile OBject. Used interchangably with 'NPC'.
Mod - To trade hitpoints for mana, either trough use of spells or an item such as a Rod of Mystical Transvergence
NEC - Necromancer
NPC - An in-game character or monster, a Non-Player Character. Used interchangably with 'Mob'
Named - an NPC that has a proper name rather than a description as its name. Fippy Darkpaw is a named version of 'a gnoll pup'. Named NPCs are sometimes Bosses or Minis.
Necro - Necromancer
Ninja Loot - Looting an item before other players have a chance. Looting an item that was supposed to go to someone else.
Nodrop - An item that cannot be given to another player or dropped on the ground.
Noob - An insult indicating that a player is a 'newbie', inexperienced and rude.
Norent - A magic item that will dissapear 30 minutes after the player who owns it logs out.
Nuke - A direct damage spell.
OGR - Ogre
OMFG - Oh my [expletive] G-d!
OMG - Oh my G-d!
OOM - Out of mana
Own - To acheive victory over another player or NPC.
PBAoE - Point Blank Area of Effect. Any spell or attack that affects a certain radius centered on the caster rather than a single target.
PC - Price check
PK - Player Killer, a person who engages in PVP combat.
POT9 - Protection of the Nine, a Hitpoint, AC, Regen, and Mana regeneration buff.
POTC - Protection of the Cabbage, a Hitpoint, AC, Regen, and Mana regeneration buff.
POTG - Protection of the Glades, a group form of Protection of the Cabbage.
PP - Pickpocket. A Rogue-only ability to steal currency and non-magical items from an NPC before it's killed.
PP - Platinum piece, the major unit of in-game currency in Everquest.
PR - Poison Resistance, resistance to magical poison spells. Used interchangably with SvP.
PST - Please send tells. This indicates a player wishes to receive private messages in response to a public announcement. Usually considered redundant.
Pal - Paladin
Pally - Paladin
Pathing - Information contained in each zone that gives NPCs in that zone predetermined paths to follow when moving. Bad pathing results in Trains, Warping, and Poofing.
Peel - Gaining agro unintentionally, usually through healing or casting.
Permadeath - A special ruleset in which players that are killed lose all advancement and items.
Pet - A summoned or charmed servant.
Pet Class - A class that relies on a summoned or charmed servant: Necromancers, Enchanters, Magicians, Beastlords, Shamans, and occasionally Bards or Druids.
Ping - Announcement of gaining a new AA point.
Plat - Platinum. Platinum pieces are the major unit of in-game currency in Everquest.
Plate Class - A class with no armor restrictions, usually Warriors, Paladins, Shadowknights, and Clerics.
PoP - Planes of Power, the fourth EQ expansion.
Poof - An NPC completely disappears.
Priest Class - A class with healing ability. Either a Cleric, Shaman, or Druid
Proddie - A player who plays on a normal EQ production server. Used almost exclusively by players on the Test server.
Pure Caster - A class with little fighting ability, but high magical ability. Cleric, Shaman, Druid, Necromancer, Mage, Enchanter, and Wizard.
Pure Melee - A class with good fighting ability and no magical ability: Warriors, Monks, Rogues.
Punt - Translocate
PvE - Player versus environment. PvE is usually used to indicate a lack of PvP combat.
PvP - Player versus Player
Pwn - Own (mistyped). To acheive victory over another player or NPC.
Quad - To Quad Kite. A kiting method used by classes who have area of affect direct damage spells. Four NPCs can be attacked at once.

ROFL - Rolling on the floor, laughing.
RPG - Role Playing Game
Raid - More than 6 players attacking a dangerous area. A raid usually consists of at least two full 'groups'.
Rain Spell - Any Area of Effect spell that occurs over multiple waves. Each wave has a chance to be completely or partially resisted.
Red - A player versus player server. Players who play on a PVP server have names above their head in red text.
Regen - The rate at which a player regains hitpoints.
Rez - Ressurection
RoK - Ruins of Kunark, the first EQ expansion.
Rog - Rogue
Roll - To create a new character. This usage originates from pen and paper RPG games in which players roll dice in order to determine character stats.
Roll - To use the in-game /random command to determine who is allowed to loot a contested item.
Root Rot - A kiting method involving the use of Root spells and Damage over Time spells to kill an NPC slowly, while the player sits nearby, meditating.
Rotted - The in-game corpse of a character was left so long that it dissapeared. Items carried by NPCs are said to 'rot' when they're left un-looted when that NPC is killed.
Run3 - The third Innate Run Speed AA. This AA allows characters to run 33% faster than their base run speed.
RvR - Realm versus Realm. A specialized type of PvP combat in which players can fight players belonging to a different in-game faction.
SD - Spiritual Dominion, a Regen and Mana regeneration buff.
SHD - Shadownkight
SHM - Shaman
SK - Shadowknight
SL - Spiritual Light, a Regen and Mana regeneration buff.
SLN - Skin Like Nature, a hitpoint, AC, and Regen buff.
SP - Silver piece: 1/100 of a Platinum piece.
STA - Stamina
STFU - Shut the [expletive] Up!
STR - Strength
Saves - Resistances to various attacks.
Selos - Selo's Accelerando, Selo's Accelerating Chorus, or Selo's Song of Travel. All three are run speed buffs.
Shammy - Shaman
Skin - Any of the 'Skin Like' hitpoint and AC buffs.
SoL - Shadows of Luclin, the third EQ expansion.
SoV - Scars of Velious, the second EQ expansion.
SoW - Spirit of Wolf (run speed buff)
SvC - Save versus cold, resistance to magical ice spells. Used interchangably with CR.
SvD - Save versus disease, resistance to magical disease spells. Used interchangably with DR.
SvF - Save versus fire, resistance to magical fire spells. Used interchangably with FR.
SvM - Save versus magic, resistance to magical spells. Used interchangably with MR.
SvP - Save versus poison, resistance to magical poison spells. Used interchangably with PR.
Swarm Kiting - A kiting method involving the use of Charm in order to make a 'swarm' of enemies kill each other.
Symbol - Any of the 'Symbol Of' Hitpoint and AC buffs.
TGW - Total Guild Wipe. An entire guild was killed at once during a raid.
TL - Translocate. Teleports a player or an entire group to a new location without also teleporting the caster.
TLC - Trivial Loot Code, a special ruleset in which easily killed mobs will not drop certain items.
TRL - Troll
Tank - To attack an NPC face on, hopefully taking all the damage dealt by that NPC
Tank Class - A class that excells at Tanking mobs, usually, but not always, Warriors, Shadowknights, and Paladins.
Tash - Tashan, a spell that debuffs an enemy's Magical Resitance. Tash is used to refer to almost all MR debuffs.
Tick - Roughly six seconds. Almost all in-game phenomina are calculated once per tick.
Train - A group of NPCs following a player. Since NPCs usually follow pre-dertermined paths, this means that they will frequently line up in single file.
Train - Attacking another player by leading a train of NPCs in his direction.
Tranq - Tranquility, a Wisdom, Intelligence, and Mana regeneration buff. Sometimes referred to as C4.
Twink - A player who is wearing or weilding armor or equipment he had no way of obtaining in game at his level. A character may be 'twinked' by another character who gives him items or money.
Twitch - Rapacious Subversion, a mana transfer spell. Twitch is often used to refer to any mana transfer spell.
Uber - Very well equipped. An Uber bow is a good bow with many stats.
Under the World - Literally, beneath the game world geometry in any zone. NPCs and Players can both be stuck under the world for various reasons. Players stuck under the world experience very strange game behavior.
VAH - Vah Shir
Vendor - In game merchants.
Vendor Loot - Treasure dropped by NPCs that is not worth selling to other players. It's only worth what in-game vendors will pay.
Vendor Trash - Treasure dropped by NPCs that is not worth selling to other players. It's only worth what in-game vendors will pay.
VoQ - Voice of Quellious, a Wisdom, Intelligence, and Mana regeneration buff. Somtimes referred to as C5
WIS - Wisdom
WIZ - Wizard
WMP - When Mana Permits. This is usually used as a request for a non-urgent buff. "Please haste WMP."

WTT - Want to trade
War - Warrior
Warp - An NPC teleports a short distance.
Wisdom Caster - A class which relies on Wisdom as its primary statistic for casting spells. Clerics, Shamans, Druids, Rangers, Paladins, and Beastlords.
Wizzy - Wizard
Woot - An expression of excitement or congratulations. Similar to 'Woohoo!'
Xloc - Translocate
Zek - One of the PVP servers which are named after the in-game gods, Rallos Zek, Tallon Zek, Vallon Zek, and Sullon Zek.
Zekkie - A player who plays on a PVP server.
Zone - Any of the individual game areas that make up the game world available in Everquest.
Zone in - The area within a zone where players appear when they first enter it.
Zone in - To enter a zone.
Zoning - An indication that a character is about to cross the boundary of a zone, rendering him incapable of communication for several seconds or even minutes.
