Foraging
Made Easy

In this lesson I will teach you how to set up a foraging macro that will forage and auto inventory for you. Then I will show you how to map this macro to a direction key so that you are able to forage without even thinking about it.

Setp 1:
Setting up abilites.

To set up a ability you need to click the Sword type icon on your menu screen:

This is the image to the far left. It looks like a Swinging Sword.

This will open up the Actions section. Click on the Gauntlet looking tab second from the left. You will see 6 buttons. Right click on the first one and choose forage. This will set up the /doability 1. You have up to 6 doabilities. Just specify in the script which one you want to use. For simplicity's sake we will stick with 1.

Forage will now be activated by the command /doability 1
Now we can set up a hotkey macro.

Step 2:
The macro.

First you want to acquire a text macro. The easiest way to do this is select the action screen again( swining sword far left ). And select the last icon on it, kinda looks like a open mouth:

Now left click and hold down any of the buttons that you want to change:

This will cause a key to appear on your cursor. Drag and drop this to the number 2 slot on your hotkey board. If the hotkey board is not up on your character you can open it by clicking on the 6th image from the left on your menu ( looks like 6 blocks stacked in 2 rows ):

Now you will need to right click this button. This will open up the macro command lines:

Type in the commands that you see in the screenshot. Now whenever you click on this macro it will forage, pause for a second and then autoinventory whatever you foraged. The pause is important don't leave it out. There is a delay between hitting the forage key and the item appearing on your cursor.

Step 3:
Mapping to a direction key:

Now if you want you can map this macro to a direction key that way everytime you move you will automatically forage.

To open up the options window you need to click the nut shaped icon on the menu, third one from the left. Now select Keyboard.

Select the category macros. Now select hotbutton 2 and click where you see the lines. A "Press a key" should appear as in the screenshot. Now you can press a direction key. For this lesson we have chosen the left direction key. Just press it and it should change as it appears here:

Close out and test your key. If you done all the steps correctly then you should automatically forage and autoinventory every time you press you left direction key. Now that's easy foraging.
