Making Plat in EQ

Making money. It's a essential part of EQ life. The question is how? There are alot of diffrent way's for druids to make money. 80% of them are from farming. It's a boring and painstaking process, but it is essential for many to make the money for their armor and spells.

Spiderling silks- Can be looted from mobs in multiple zones. Spiderlings are very low lvl creatures usually lvl 1-2. Their silks are highly desired in tradeskilling for making leather padding. Depending on your server you can sell these in the bazaar for between 4-10 Plat each. this is the ultimate way for a newbie to make the money for some armor and his spells in a very short time.

Low Quality skins- Wolf can Cat skins are used for making leather padding and usually sell for around 5-8 Plat each. Easily farmed by the newbie in west and east commons, and easily mass farmed in EK by the higher level players using a point blank AoE spell to kill huge numbers at one time.

Spider silks- A metric ton of these are needed to get your tailoring skills up on wu's. Anymore these sell for around 4-7 Plat each. The best place to farm these is in East Karana ( Crag Spiders ) they drop up to 8 silks each and you can Point blank AoE them using your upheaval spell. I usually kill 8-12 of them at one time. Put your back to a tree so they don't push you and cause your spell to be interrupted. If your over lvl 50 they should rarely hit you at all and then for less than 10 damage.

Velium bricks, block, and pieces- Crystal Caverns is the place to be. These are currently in very high demand beacuse of a new smithing skill up route. The miners can drop up to 2 pieces each they are low 30's in level and rather plentiful. When you get the bricks and blocks place the brick in the forge and cut it down till you end up with 2 small pieces [brick and smithing chisel, combined in a forge]. These stack and sell for nearly as much as the bricks do. So you can double your money rather easily. Usually Small pieces of velium sell for 40-65 Plat each and they sell fast too. At lvl 64 I can kill every miner in zone and have time left over to med before they repop. There are 2 sets of miners up top and at the bottom. There are several wandering ones in between as well but they are not as plentiful.

There are other routes to take to make money. Foraging is a good route. Branches of planar oak can be foraged in the plane of growth and sell for 150-200 Plat each but they are a very rare forage. Tufts of dire wolf fur sell for 25 Plat each and can be foraged in Kael, Thurgadin, and Eastern Wastes. Dragon eggs, Tea leaves, Yew leaves, and many other items are good sellers as well. Foraging is a slow and painstaking process and the profit- time ratio is not so good unless your in the zone xping anyway's.

Brewing is a very good tradeskill for making money especially for those lvl 30 and lower. Heady Kiola's can be made at 46 triv and you can double you money on them. They are used for wu's armor witch is the major tradeskill route for tailors. Also making dyes and tempers are good. Coldain velium temper is a good seller right now. It can no longer be NPC purchased so it's a very hot item. LoY dyes are made from foraged items in many zones and are a popular item in the bazaar selling from 10-20 plat each. The only downside to brewing is that the combines and sub combines are a real pain and hard on the wrist.

Buying low and selling high is a popular way of making alot of money as well. People make a good living by doing this. They buy super bargain deals and resell it for a higher price, for a profit. You hvae to know the market very well to do this and you can loose your shirt if you make a mistake or if the value of a item drops for some reason. high profit = high risk.

There are other way's to make a quick buck in EQ but these should get you started easily enough.
